Raining Cats & Dogs and Crocheted Mittens

What bloody miserable weather since I got home from Orange.

And I hate getting wet!

It's been

Well truly.........it's the dog's fault...........

EXTREME WARNING: Close your eyes if the next pic is too horrendous for you!
I have to be very careful when I go to work (yes, I do work!) because this

can happen.
I know it's a horrid pic but the reality is that people should be very careful when driving and cats should be very careful when crossing roads when it's raining.
That why I wear a
I got the idea from the

Anyway, the rain..it's not an exciting storm

No, not on yer nelly...it's just plain bloody big drops of water falling out of a grey sky...

and making the roads really dangerous which is why the advice above........about the yellow stuff and all.

Anyway it's good crochet weather so she's been making mittens....not for

mind you! Oh no.............they barely get a look in! She's made them for herself!

Though it is quite possible that she will give the black one's to her youngest kitten! But we will see how generous she is feeling!

She's a bit like the mother cat in this little ditty...she's a tad pedantic! But, of course, that is entirely from a cat's view....
Three little kittens,
They lost their mittens,
And they began to cry,
Oh, mother dear,
We sadly fear
Our mittens we have lost.
What! Lost your mittens
You naughty kittens!
Then you shall have no pie.
Mee-ow, mee-ow, mee-ow, mee-ow.
You shall have no pie!

The three little kittens,
They found their mittens,
And they began to cry,
Oh, mother dear,
See here, see here,
Our mittens we have found.
What! Found your mittens,
You darling kittens!
Then you shall have some pie.
Mee-ow, mee-ow, mee-ow, mee-ow.
You shall have some pie.
The three little kittens,
Put on their mittens,
And soon ate up the pie;
Oh, mother dear,We greatly fear
Our mittens we have soiled.
What! Soiled your mittens,You naughty kittens!
Then they began to sigh,
Mee-ow, mee-ow, mee-ow, mee-ow.
They began to sigh.

The three little kittens,
They washed their mittens,
And hung them out to dry;
Oh mother dear,
Look here, look here,
Our mittens we have washed.
What! Washed your mittens,
You're such good kittens.
I smell a

close by!
Hush! Hush! Hush! Hush!Hush! Hush! Hush!
I smell a rat close by.
You can stop singing now!
And I will have to come inside after chasing the rats

and just wait for a sunny day to appear miraculously out of the blue!
